About The Northwest Screenwriters Guild:

Sponsored by a grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Northwest Screenwriters Guild (NWSG) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit screenwriting organization committed to five services for screenwriters: craft-based education; mentorship and peer review; career development; access to Hollywood (and global) film industry professionals; and fostering collaboration and growth within the local Pacific Northwest film community.

Founded in 1997, the Northwest Screenwriters Guild provides support and insight to a talented group of screenwriters, distant in geography from Hollywood but not in spirit. With a dedicated all-volunteer Board of Directors and an aggressive and robust ledger of events comprised of speaking engagements, meetings, workshops, and one-on-one sessions, the NWSG continues to demonstrate its commitment to the collaborative art-form upon which the film industry thrives.

The Business of Screenwriting seminar will be dedicated to exploring how to break into the industry, with a heavy emphasis on screenplay presentation, logline composition, and pitching.

Special guest appearance by Tim Earnheart, screenwriter of CAA repped & packaged screenplay, 360. Tim will talk about how he went from aspiring writer to a repped & optioned professional in less than one year. The event will be held at Seattle Pacific University.

Washington Filmworks Monthly Happy Hour

Join WFW at Spitfire, the last Wednesday of each month, for the monthly Film, Music and Digital Media Happy Hour networking event.

Spitfire will be opened exclusively for the event from 5-7pm is located at 2219 4th Avenue in Belltown (between Blanchard and Bell).
