Upcoming Screenwriting Competitions/TV Fellowships:

PAGE International Screenwriting Awards

The PAGE Awards competition was established by an alliance of Hollywood producers, agents, and development execs. Our goal: to discover the most exciting new scripts by up-and-coming writers from across the country and around the world. And due to the success of our winning writers, the PAGE Awards have rapidly become one of the most important sources for new screenwriting talent within the Hollywood community and worldwide.
Regular deadline: March 1, 2012
Final Deadline: April 2, 2012

Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition

Scriptapalooza was founded in 1998 with the goal of helping as many writers as possible through the competition. We have over 90 production companies, agents and managers reading all the entered scripts. (A complete list of participants is on Scriptapalooza?s website.) We actively push the Semifinalists, Finalists, Runners-Up and Winners for a full year with the intention of creating opportunities for the writers.
Final deadline: April 19, 2012

Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting

“It is clear to me that the Academy Foundation and Nicholl Fellowship competition have but one goal... to encourage and foster high quality, creative screenwriting. The Nicholl competition offers aspiring screenwriters like myself great motivation to write our very best and to keep on writing.” -- Nicholl Entrant
Deadline: May 1, 2012

Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition

AFF awards are career-starters, but just entering your script insures other profound returns. Advancing writers and their scripts enjoy one-of-a-kind industry attention, networking opportunities and dream workshops. At the semifinalist level and beyond, judges include professional writers and representatives from major studios and production companies actively seeking scripts and talent. In past years, judges have included representatives from Warner Bros., Nickelodeon Movies, ABC Studios, Fortis Films, Pixar Animation Studios, Escape Artists at Sony, Oasis Media, United Talent Agency and many others.
Deadline: May 15, 2012
Late deadline: June 1, 2012

hollywoodscript.com monthly contest

Final Deadline: Last Day of any calendar month
We will pick the best and most marketable (in our opinion of course) client script. Since there are only two of us here, your chance of seriously contending is increased since we only have a small pool of material from which to choose. A great feature of the contest is that if your script is not ready the first time around, you're welcome to submit the revision (reduced fee) and it will be treated as if it were a new script.

Script Savvy's Monthly Screenplay Contest

Final Deadline: Last day of every month.
Script Savvy is working to move writers forward in their careers. We do this by providing feedback and introducing the winners to our producer sponsors. Our sponsors are production companies from LA to NY who are looking for new projects and writing talent.
