Description: Calling all screenwriters in the US and Canada. Northwest Film Forum and Northwest Screenwriters Guild invite you to submit your screenplay to the 11th Annual Washington State Screenplay Competition.
Early Deadline: Postmarked April 11 ($35 fee)
Regular Deadline: Postmarked May 1 ($40 fee)
Late Deadline: Postmarked May 8 ($50 fee)
Finalists Announced: July 14
Winner and Two Runners Up Announced: September 15

The Final Judges:
- Linnea Toney, Director, Austin Film Festival
- Elizabeth Heile, Independent Producer & Director of Finance, GadZook Films
- Christopher Lockhart, Independent Producer and former Executive Story Editor at ICM
The Grand Prize:
- Announcement as winner in display ad in Variety and Hollywood Reporter, along with publicity releases to film industry and script-related publications
- Staged script reading with a cast of talented Seattle actors at the 11th annual Local Sightings Film Festival, NWFF's October 2008 festival of Northwest film and video
- One year membership to NWFF and NWSG
- One copy of the Final Draft Suite (includes Final Draft 7 and AV 2.5)
- Michael Wiese Books Bundle (Michael Hauge's "Selling Your Story in 60 Seconds"; Yoneda Kathie Fong's "The Script Selling Game"; John Scott Lewinski's "Alone in A Room"
- Save The Cat bundle (both books and software by Blake Snyder)
- Copy of "On The Page DVD" by Pilar Alessandra.

Submission:
- Screenplays must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Written by a resident of Washington State
- 50% set in Washington State,
- Able to be filmed in Washington State
